An updated gin and tonic

Hello again and welcome to my blog! As promised I will try to be more active and upload lots of new recipes here. This time I’ve chosen to share one of my favorite drinks for summer which is sort a mix between a gin and tonic and a campari soda. This drink is easy to make and quite frankly delicious! I spent the weekend with some friends at our vacation house on the east coast of Sweden and I made them this drink before dinner. It was a lovely weekend with lots of sun, food and drinks but also some second hand shopping at the local market.

The finished drinks, complete with orange wheels and kitschy cocktail stirrers

Recipe for one drink:

  • 4 cl Gin
  • 2 cl Campari
  • 2 cl Limoncello
  • 2 cl freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Tonic water to taste
  • A dash or two of angostura bitter
Slightly out of focus after a few drinks in my belly 🙂

Add all the ingredients except for the tonic water and angostura to a shaker filled with ice. Shake until ice cold (about 30-45 seconds) and strain into a wine glass filled with fresh ice. Top it of with tonic water and a dash or two of angostura bitter and garnish with a lemon/orange wheel. Enjoy this drink any time of the day (it’s always 12 o’clock somewhere in the world, right?).

Cheers!
